While guiding their non-Swedish friends and family through the process of settling down in Sweden, the founders of Career Sweden (formerly “The Newbie Guide to Sweden”) realized there was a lack of support for newbies in the public. Primarily because of language barriers but the scattered nature of the information was not making things any better!
So, the founders decided to bridge this information gap by offering guidance, easy to understand information and insider tips on one single platform. And thus with the hope of making immigration to Sweden warmer and more conducive, Career Sweden was born.
During the years we have gotten a lot of questions about how and why we do things, so here is the frequently asked questions we get.
Career Sweden is a digital platform that aims to inform and empower people who are going through new life experiences in Sweden. We are a small project run by the international recruitment company Incluso. We have no support from government, authorities or other financiers. The website is run as a socially useful resource to improve the quality of life of those who decide to move to Sweden.
Career Sweden (formerly “The Newbie Guide to Sweden”) was launched in November 2015 by Julieta and Isadora Spoerer. In 2024 the platform was acquired by the international recruitment company Incluso and rebranded as “Career Sweden”.
You will find lots of information on various topics on Career Sweden! In the “Guide to Sweden” section in the main menu there are 12 main categories covering all of the most important aspects of life in Sweden, from work to socialization and hobbies.
