The regulation of fritt vårdval covers medical treatments provided by:
- health centres – vårdcentral
- child welfare centres – barnavårdscentral
- midwife’s clinics – barnmorskemottagning
- youth clinics – ungdomsmottagning
- outpatient specialist clinics – specialist
Note: you generally need a referral in order to receive specialist treatment in Sweden.
