Description

Many internationals report being underpaid to their Swedish peers, despite being qualified, competent and skilled professionals. One reason is a lack of understanding of the Swedish salary system as well as a limited understanding of Swedish negotiation culture. In this course, I will help you to plan strategically for getting paid what you deserve in the long-term, through adapting the same tactics and techniques that your Swedish peers use.

  • Plan your salary negotiation by understanding what is expected from you when signing for a new job.
  • Use arguments that are considered valid by Swedish employees.
  • Understand how salaries and raises are calculated.
  • Apply Swedish negotiation techniques with the goal of compromise in mind.
  • Make the most of your salary review and utvecklingssamtal by knowing what to expect.

I am not providing a miracle, quick-fix solution, but a way of building up a salary strategy for the long term, and the solution is probably not what you expect it to be.

I am Sofi and I have helped international professionals to integrate into the Swedish job market since 2008. I have created this course for international professionals who are new to the Swedish job market. Ideally, you should take this course before you sign for your first job in Sweden, as this will increase your chances of getting paid adequately right away, but it is never too late.
